Alley Stage Reading Series: "This Is Government" by Nina Kissinger

Our third annual Alley Stage Reading Series concludes with Chicago-based playwright Nina Kissinger's play-in-progress, "This Is Government."

The reading will be followed by a talkback session and reception at the Art Cafe patio sponsored by Hook's Cheese and The Cider Farm. In the event of rain, this event will take place in the Sardeson Studio.

About "This Is Government:" After a bomb threat places all congressional buildings on lockdown, three summer interns find themselves stuck in the one place no one has ever wanted to work overtime: the U.S. government. As the crisis unfolds and their snack supply runs out, they question what power, if any, they have in this increasingly unstable system.
