Barn Dance in Mt Vernon

Join us at the Forest of Fame park shelter in Mt Vernon to kick up your heels and have an amazing night of dancing and community. Styles include contra, square, waltz, polka, and more.

Special guest musicians will be Pail Biere (Banjo/guitar player and member of the band Point Five from Mineral Point) and Peter Gorman (Fiddle player, has played with the Hicksville Debonairs and the Back Seat Serenaders), Catherine Baer (Caller who has been calling dances since 1982).

All dances are taught and there is no previous experience necessary.
$5.00 per person aged 13 and older, or $10 for a family/group coming together 
-kiddos dance for free - no one turned away and pay what you can!

There will be snacks and drinks for sale. This is a community and non-religious event sponsored by Mount Vernon UCC.

If the temperatures get too cold, we will relocate to the church basement social hall at 1693 Washington St just up the block.
