Chapter Meeting With Mount Horeb Native, Gretchen Treu

Gretchen Treu (pronounced like Helen of Troy) is a Mt. Horeb native and resident of Madison. They got their first job at the Mount Horeb Public Library and worked there through graduating high school from MHHS before heading to Madison and getting a degree from the UW. Since 2018, they have been a co-owner and manager of A Room of One's Own Bookstore, a legacy feminist, and now queer & trans owned and operated, bookstore celebrating its fiftieth year in business. They have put down roots in the city and are currently raising two awesome kids along with their two awesome partners, but they still find time to visit their dad in the home they grew up in just outside of MoHo. They will talk your ear off about books or parenting neurodiverse & queer kids if given half a chance!

Gretchen will speak from 6-7 PM. The remaining hour is reserved for sharing and support. This is not a library sponsored event. If you prefer to attend over Zoom, RSVP on our website www.pflagmoho.org and we will send you a link to join us.
