ELC Church 60th Anniversary

CELEBRATING A MILESTONE at 315 East Main Street March 1, 1962 the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mt. Horeb held the first service in their new Sanctuary with Fred Hanneman playing the incredible new $35,000 organ. April 1 the cornerstone was placed, and June 10 is recognized as the completion of the construction of the Sanctuary, Chapel and Fellowship Hall. There was a dedication service attended by over 500 people. For the entire month of June 2022, a display of photos, historical documents, interview videos and news articles will be displayed in the Narthex. Sunday June 26 will highlight the milestone with a special worship service and gathering following the worship service in Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to stop in and browse the items and join us for the 9:00am service on Sunday June 26.
