Makers & Shakers Art Party

Sashiko, which literally means “little stabs”, is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching from Japan that started out of practical need during the Endo Era (1615 – 1868).  Worn out clothes were patched together to make warmer or new clothes using simple running stitches.  Over time, elaborate designs were developed, all of which still only use the simple running stitch.

Newcomers are always welcome as well as youth ages 12 and up. Class size 12. Please register online to confirm your spot: https://shakeragalley.org/art-party/
