Power Up: Professional Development Series

Power Up is a new professional development series from the Mount Horeb Area Chamber of Commerce. Each quarter will feature a new theme and we'll hear from experts in our community.

Q4 Session 1 - we will meet in-person at the GrandStay Hotel & Suites, Mount Horeb-Madison. We'll start out with some coffee & networking, and then we'll dive into a presentation from our expert. 

Topic: Essential Accounting Practices for New Businesses
In the first session, Ally Nimz and Amy Czyzewski will cover the foundational aspects of accounting for businesses, including LLC filing requirements, tax entity distinctions, and managing independent contractors versus employees. They will also provide tips for setting up business finances, tracking income, and understanding tax liability. Practical guidance on accounting software and quarterly taxes will help new business owners stay organized.
