Schoolhouse Social

Celebrate the summer solstice with a Saturday Night Social at Folklore Village's Wakefield Schoolhouse! Experience a night of favorite, family-friendly dances and games. All are welcome–whether you remember attending socials back in the “Schoolhouse Days,” or whether you have yet to experience a Folklore Village social. Musicians are encouraged to join the informal, volunteer Folklore Village Band. The social starts with a potluck at 6:00 PM. Bring a potluck dish to share and your own tableware to enjoy the meal; the Schoolhouse does not have running water so you can help us out by packing out your own used dishes, cups, and silverware. Admission is $10 adults, $8 seniors and teens, and $5 kids aged 5-12. Family admission is capped at $25. Kids under 5 are admitted free. The Wakefield Schoolhouse is located on County Road BB, approximately 3 blocks south of our main building. Look for a white schoolhouse and a sign labeled "Folklore Village | Wakefield Schoolhouse."
