Winter Monoprint Workshop with the Art Ladies!

Join us for an evening of fun and playful printmaking this holiday season, under the entertaining tutelage of  Anna King and Dana Showers!

 

Monoprinting is an anyone-can-do-it medium that uses stencils, masks and lots of layering to create unique one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Participants do not need previous experience printmaking to be successful - this workshop is for anyone who enjoys being creative and experimenting with fun materials! We will be using gelli plates, brayers, acrylic paint and stencils/masks to create our monoprints. All materials will be provided and participants can expect to come away with a minimum of three prints.

**YOUR INSTRUCTORS**
Anna King and Dana Showers have been teaching art together for ten years at Mount Horeb High School. In addition to making art with young adults in their classrooms, they have had great fun connecting their students to the larger community with epic field trips and working with Dane Arts Mural Arts to make murals that focus on mental wellness. Hosting adult workshops has been a longtime vision, and they are so excited to work with the Driftless Historium to bring some creative fun to the community.
